As Türsa Logistic we started container transportation with railway in 2009 because of the increasing logistical problems in exports. Although Türsa Logistic faced many problems when it was established it made every effort and was giving service since 4 years. Due to the increase in export logistics problems, Türsa Logistic began to container transportation with railway. In order to provide a better service to the railway transportation we are using Kalmar DRD45060S5 which is the most preferred model at the biggest part of the world for loading to container and all of these loadings are making with safety with this machine.Türsa Logistic directing all of everything that exporter companies request for the faciliate to transportation. However Türsa Logistic has the proficiency for logistic, we made approximately 11.000 container logistic in 4 year. We are continuing to grow up from day to day. Transportation is one of the most important subjects of the international trade. It should be safe, fast and cheap. So we use railway for transportation because it is more cheaper, faster and reliable than highway.

CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION BY RAILWAY

Railway container transportation came to the fore with the concept of door to door service, is developed as an alternative to highway transportation. Container transport by train is considered a turning point for exporting firms in Konya. The main objective of system is to ensure that the replacement of cargos from point of production to the point of delivery efficiently in the each area.

DISADVANTAGES OF LOADING WITH PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE;

• Container transportation costs from the port with truck loaded is always high.
• LIMITATION OF TONNAGE
• Shipment can not be heavy tonnages .
• WAITING FEE WHEN LOADING TIMES PROLONGED
• Waiting fee is required because of production or other issues.
• THE CAR SHORTAGE AT THE CHRISTMAS AND HOLIDAY PERIOD
• Problems experienced in the procurement of vehicles at the time of religious and other official holidays and before these days.

• DISADVANTAGES OF PORT FILLING (Shipped to the port by road)

• Products damages during the shipment of truck,
• Transportation disruptions due to climatic conditions,
• Tonnage problem between Konya - Mersin port transportation,
• Daily changing shipping costs,
• Port filling fee is more than temporary admission fee,
• Port Problems, able to reach the shipment etc. at the high-tonnage shipping,
• During the port shipment, damaging of products because of adverse climatic conditions,
• Filling port fee is paid to port authority and workers are demanded before at least one day.
• If there is the port density, vehicles waiting fee is paid.
